This is a must in our day to day lives. But, should we leave our problems or preoccupations aside and don’t pay attention to them? Well, what I usually do is to do everything as it is possible, give my best in what and be positive about things, after that I don’t worry anymore.

Well, worrying is just a waste of time. You spend hours and hours thinking in what you shouldn’t have done or why you did such a terrible thing or took such a dummy decision, but you are not actually doing anything valuable, you’re just getting older and stopping you from enjoying your life.

Also, when you worry your spending your energy on it and you will start feeling sad, anxious, nervous or stressed and that’s not good given that you could be using that energy in making you feeling better: exercising, studying, reading, learning something new, etc.

Having said this, I would like to share with you some phrases about this topic:

• Most of the things you worry about never happen: No comments here, I would just use one of the emoticons that I dislike -.-
• Worry is a misuse of the imagination: This is so true, if we could only stop worrying and inventing scenarios were we suffer or are injured somehow, and start using our great power of imagination creating or planning REAL things our lives would be happier.
• Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday: One day lost (yesterday) and maybe another one (today). I shall repeat: don’t worry.
• Worrying does not empty tomorrow from its troubles, it empties today from its strength.

Now, I would like to ask: is life long enough to be sad, stressed, sick and tired? is there anything that we can do in order to keep our lives simple?. My answer is YES!

There are some things that we know that are true, but they’re so simple (such as life is) that we just leave them aside or we just don’t pay attention to them. I was reading at midnight some web pages and I found something interesting: advices to keep your life simple, and I HAVE to share them with you:

1. Don’t try to read other people’s minds and stop avoid make them reading yours. It’s easier to communicate.
2. We all need to be polite with people around us, but let’s face it: we can’t be friends with everyone. So, let’s focus on nourishing our relationships with the people that matter to us.
3. Health is life! Try to exercise. If you feel bad, go to the doctor.
4. Get enough sleep every night. A fresh mind will think faster and better, additionally you won’t be looking awful.
5. Get up 15 minutes earlier than you currently do. This will help you to avoid delays and other unnecessary troubles.
6. Don’t be jealous. Admire and congratulate other’s achievements, but most important LEARN OF THEM.
7. Let people do the stuff they’re better at so you can do the stuff you’re better at.
8. Organize the space where you live. This will make you feel better and comfortable.
9. Let’s get rid of everything we don’t use. Useless = rubbish.
10. If you don’t know something, don’t keep you moth shut, ask for help.
11. Don’t try to please everybody, just do what you know and feel is correct.
12. Drinking is not a good idea when you’re mad or stressed, take a jog instead.
13. Pay your bills.
14. Technology makes our lives simpler, don’t fight it, use it.
15. If there’s something that you have to do and can take you from 2 to 5 minutes to finish, do it immediately.
16. If you can relocate closer to the place where you work or study, don’t think it too much.
17. Don’t steal, work hard for getting what you want.
18. Be honest with yourself and others.
19. Say “I love you” when you mean it.
20. Do one thing at a time (I know women can do more than 2 at a time) but give it all you got.
21. The first thing to start a new project is finishing your pending projects.
22. Be yourself!
23. When traveling, take with you only the necessary.
24. Clean up after yourself, don’t leave it for later.
25. Learn to cook.
26. Make a menu and buy only what you need.
27. Don’t get involved in people’s drama, avoid to create your own.
28. Buy things with cash.
29. Smile always, it’s a powerful practice.
30. If you hate doing something, you should stop doing it right now.
31. Learn to apologize when you should.
32. Try new things, life is about learning.
33. Explore new ideas often.
34. Don’t worry too much about what other people think about you.
35. Eat only when you’re hungry.
36. If you can’t change something, let it go!. Focus on the things you can change.
37. Wish the best for everybody.
38. Find a hard work that you enjoy doing.
39. Excel at what you do.
40. Realize that you’re not perfect and you don’t always are right. Learn from mistakes, laugh at them.

Hace unos días, viendo la serie de Smallville me di cuenta de que existía un tal Doomsday. Lo sé,  deben decir : “¿cómo se dice fanático de Superman y no conoce a Doomsday?”, pues ni siquiera yo lo sé!. Debe ser que me falta aplicarme un poco más.

En fin, el tal Doomsday me tuvo intrigado y necesitaba conseguir más información acerca de él y me encontré una película que trata de la muerte de Superman. !No lo podía creer!

Me gustó la película y se las traigo a ustedes para compartir.

I’ve heard his music since I was a child due to my father. In fact, Roberto Carlos’ music is one of the few music that my father heard and I liked. I think that this is because not just Detalhes, but the most of his songs are fully interpreted with melancholy, romanticism and  a soft voice.

I read that he’s played his music all over the world, has won the Song Festival in San Remo Italy and has recorded an coustic MTV concert.

With more than 25 millon of discs sold in latin america is the sole artist that has sold more discs in this region than The Beatles.  In every disc produced there was at least one hit. It is difficult to try to select his most greatest songs but apart form my preferred (Detalhes), we could name: Amada amante, Jesucrito, Un millón de amigos, and Cacharrito.

Additionally, every time I talk about Roberto Carlos with my father, he keeps on remind me that Roberto Carlos is a legend and the only one allowed to consume marijuana legally in Brazil (amazing!… jaja). I don’t know if that’s true, but if it is, I think he deserves it.

His music will be with us forever.

Just a few hours ago I was searching for the Courious Case Of Benjamin Button’s Soundtrack in one of my favourite pages (Taringa!), but after being disappointed  because of the non existing megaupload links (just rapidshare), I found a  link that caught my attention that said: I hate Facebook!

Of course,  it made me think about it. Some of the facts he exposed were valid: the lost of interest in being in contact with  people (in person) due to the each time bigger interest in being in contact with your virtual friends, the importance that  we give to abscentee presences, wall greetings or empty comunication.

But he was talking about the good things like: keep in touch with a friend who is living in china or the uncle that is traveling around the world, a way to show share a part of you to the world, or just simple fun. Additionally, he was talking about things that, at my point of view, shouldn’t be interesting him such as a theft accusation to the owner of the network.

I think that facebook has a lot of interesting things depending on the eyes that you see it with. For me, as a programmer,  it’s great the possibility of taking pictures with your webcam; as a foreigner student, it’s an exceptionally good way to know what’s happening with your family, good and non good friends.

All of us need our own space (such as this blog for me) but maybe it becomes unhealthy when you change all your in-person interactions for the electronic ones, and you start to live in a virtual world. Anyway, everybody has the right to think in a different way.

And after all of this, what about you? do you HATE FACEBOOK?
